From Pixels to People: My Journey as a UX Designer

My journey as a designer began long before I officially stepped into the world of UX. With a background in graphic design, I spent years mastering the art of layout and color theory, creating visual stories that spoke to people. But something kept pulling me toward understanding not just how things looked, but how they worked—how users truly felt when interacting with a product. That curiosity led me to the world of UX design, where I’ve since developed a passion for crafting intuitive, seamless experiences.

For the past three years, I took a break—a decision that allowed me to step back and focus on personal growth, family, and creativity in its many forms. During that time, I stayed close to design, experimenting with photography, painting, and even perfecting the art of cooking (I’m a self-proclaimed foodie). This period gave me a fresh perspective and reignited my excitement for UX design.

Now, as I re-enter the industry, I bring not only a wealth of experience but a renewed energy and outlook. My process remains thorough—user research, wireframes, sketches, prototypes, usability testing—but I’ve learned to approach problems with an even greater appreciation for simplicity and elegance. I truly believe that “less is more” when done right, and I strive to make every design not just functional but delightful.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me hiking, traveling, taking pictures of nature, or organizing my space (yes, cleaning can be a stress buster!). Whether I’m pushing pixels or perfecting a new recipe, I’ve learned that creativity thrives when you let it breathe.
